St George Hotel

I stayed at the Travelodge for the first week but I had to pay extra per day for wi-fi and when I did pay for it I couldn’t connect my fire stick. I moved to the St George hotel for the next three weeks and the hotels couldn’t be further apart. Free high speed internet and a more used feel hotel with very friendly service. A special shout out to Amy for being so helpful, nothing was too much trouble for this young lady, fantastic customer service, I will definitely use this hotel for future stays in the Rochester area

Great hotel great view from your room there was no spoons in your room with your hot drinks to stir your drink the breakfast was good but small portions and they didn't put the name of the cereal what it was and there was no staff to Welcome you to the breakfast room

This is a genuine review. I was worried after making booking as some clients had written very bad reviews. I found my room, neat, water in washroom is reasonably warm. Keep it up!

Locating the hotel was very easy, despite visiting Rochester for the first time. The check-in process was seamless and the room was way beyond what I expected... adequate heating, very clean bathroom and bedding. Finally, was the complimentary breakfast ... extremely delicious. Overall, the staff were very professional and I enjoyed my stay.

We really liked this hotel. The guy on the front desk was really friendly and helpful ( sorry for not remembering your name I'm old). He went out of his way to help but I got the impression that's the kind of person he is. Our room was on the fourth floor and unfortunately the lift wasn't working but we we're offered another room lower down. We found the hotel quite and clean . It's showing its age in places but honestly ours was a positive experience. We had a cooked breakfast in the morning which was very hot unlike premier inn which is warm. We really have no complaints, it's not a 5 * so don't expect it to be but we would definitely go back again.

Had our wedding at the George hotel. Brilliant from start to finish. Everything was perfect just the way me and my wife wanted it. Food was excellent. Nobody had a bad word to say about anything. Adecia and her team alerted excellent throughout and are a credit to the hotel. Would definitely recommend a wedding here! Rooms were well maintained and clean. Breakfast was perfect as well. A joy to spend our special day there

14.4.24 Went to a wedding in the big room very well decorated and the staff can’t do enough for you - parking on site but I parked on the hill opposite. Wheelchair accessible and staff will help with charging to ensure you don’t run out.

On our arrival the car park belonging to the hotel was full & so we had a park in an additional car park. However, to get back to the hotel we had to climb up some very steep stairs. The receptionist was professional in welcoming us to the hotel. The bedroom was disappointing as there was no wardrobe to hang our clothes also the tap kept on dripping. The room itself was very clean & the view from the window of the river was delightful.

Parking is tight under the canopy 1.8mtr max but at the rear on a lower level outside is another car park with adequate room. Reception was nice and simple and of to the lift to my room. Small room but did all I needed to do. The view from my room on the 3rd floor looking out over the estuary was nice.
